On November 17, 2023, the Commissioner of Patents of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office granted Canadian Patent Number 3,031,123 for “Cannabis Products Modified by Removing Volatile Organic Compounds and Adding Volatile Unsaturated Hydrocarbons” to High Sierra Technologies, Inc.
On October 2, 2023, the European Patent Office in Rijswijk, Netherlands filed an “Intention to Grant” based on European Patent Office Application Number EP 19743904.5 for “Cannabis Products Modified by Removing Volatile Organic Compounds and Adding Volatile Unsaturated Hydrocarbons” to High Sierra Technologies, Inc. which will afford High Sierra Technologies, Inc. patent protection in the 39 countries that make up the European Patent Office. Based on this filing, the Patent Application filed by High Sierra Technologies, Inc. in Hong Kong will also be granted in due course. In conjunction with this filing, High Sierra Technologies, Inc. also filed an “Opt-out from Exclusive Competence of the Unified Patent Court” based on the advice of High Sierra Technologies, Inc.’s patent counsel in Europe to insulate itself from the possible effects of allowing the Unified Patent Court to have exclusive jurisdiction over any Patents issued to High Sierra Technologies, Inc. in connection with European Patent Office Application Number EP 19743904.5.
