The Future of Low-Odor Cannabis

Building the Future of Low-Odor Cannabis

A strategic plan for nationwide brand and technology licensing.

With recreational cannabis now legal in 24 states, 3 U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia, and medical cannabis legalized in 40 states, 4 territories, and District of Columbia, the industry is seeing a fundamental shift. High Sierra Technologies, Inc. (HSTI) is capitalizing on this momentum, placing its Hush Puppy brand at the forefront of the low-odor revolution in cannabis.

HSTI is a public company specializing in the licensing of patented technologies that eliminate the distinctive odor and taste of cannabis—ideal for everything from smokables to edibles.

Their core offerings provide a “clean slate,” helping product developers produce flavored, discreet cannabis products with broad market appeal.

Market Traction: Hush Puppy in Action

The Hush Puppy low-odor cannabis product was launched at the Hall of Flowers trade show in early 2025, where it stole the spotlight under the theme of Innovation. It’s now available in 10 dispensaries across California, with expansion into additional retail outlets ongoing—a sign that both consumers and partners are embracing the technology.

Strategic Expansion Plan

HSTI’s go-to-market strategy includes:

Licensing agreements that pair technology with exclusive branding.

State-level trademark registrations for the Hush Puppy brand and packaging slogans, starting in California and deploying across future markets.

Federal trademark applications planned as legalization expands at the national level.

As distribution gains traction, HSTI is targeting strategic partnerships in high-growth regions, where discretion and innovation are essential.

Summary

High Sierra Technologies is not just offering a product—it’s building a branded licensing platform solving an industry-wide challenge. With strong IP, real consumer traction, and a clear roadmap for expansion, HSTI is a leading force in redefining the way cannabis is consumed and perceived.

With more than 50 years of business leadership and over 40 years of legal experience, Gregg Koechlein brings a rare blend of operational, strategic, and regulatory expertise to HSTI. From 1987–1989 he served as Vice President of Manufacturing and General Counsel at Super Shops, Inc., later becoming its President, COO, and General Counsel. Under his leadership, Super Shops grew from 53 to 165 stores across 31 states, with revenues increasing from $80 million to nearly $250 million. At HSTI, Gregg oversees finance, operations, and legal affairs—guiding product sourcing, compliance, and growth with the same hands-on acumen that enabled success in his earlier career.
